Classic meets modern with Electra's Cruiser 7D Lux. It's equipped with a lightweight, aluminum step-through frame, a plush seat, wide bars, quality wheels, and balloon tires that are equally at home on pavement and dirt. You also get powerful disc brakes as well as a 7-speed Shimano drivetrain that cruises up the hills. Plus, with Electra's Flat Foot Technology, you can put your feet flat on the ground whenever you want for total control.
I bought this at a local shop in Winnipeg as a gift to myself to get back on a bike. I have an elbow that will not allow me to ride my old mountain bike anymore and this gave me back my riding freedom. It's easy to mount/dismount (even though I still swing my right leg over the seat and this is a womens' step through model. Old habits die hard...) Super comfortable seat with big cushy springs and just pure joy to look at. Getting used to only having seven gears but they shift nicely and the brakes grab hold quickly when applied.
I bought his as a nice easy bike to ride in a quiet town that has some beautiful packed trails with a little bit of small tight hills thrown in.
It's not really designed to stand up and pump up those hills though.
Overall I love my "King Of The World" bike. (That's what I yelled the first time riding it down my back lane.) It was a Jack-Rose-Titanic kinda moment.
Bottom LineYes, I would recommend this to a friend
